Which Links Earn Commission

Some links on this site are affiliate links. They point to GetYourGuide and Viator, the two booking platforms behind every listing compared here. When a reader clicks one of these links and completes a booking, the platform pays this site a commission. The reader pays exactly the same price as anyone arriving without the link.

Three kinds of link carry the tag:

• Booking buttons on tour cards and individual tour pages, which open the live listing on the platform.
• In-text links inside guides and blog posts, wherever a phrase points to a specific tour listing.
• Buttons on the homepage cards, one for each of the seven listings shown there.

What The Commission Does Not Change

Commission has no influence on which cruises appear, the order they appear in, or what gets written about them. A listing with a higher commission is never moved up the page. A cruise the site could not earn from is never left out for that reason. Operators such as the Lake Lucerne Navigation Company (SGV) are described the same way as everyone else.

The seven cards on the homepage are built the same way, with no numbers typed in from memory. Prices are the platform's from-price for one traveler unless the listing states a different basis, such as a whole-boat charter price, and they change with travel date and availability. The figure shown on the booking page at the moment of clicking is the one that applies.

Booking Direct

Nothing here depends on booking through a platform. The Lake Lucerne Navigation Company (SGV) sells its own tickets, from scheduled cruises to dinner sailings aboard its historic steamers, and buying direct is a fine choice. The comparison exists to show what is on offer and what each operator says about it, not to steer every reader through an affiliate link.
